- The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 2030 GMT on Monday:


** Former restaurant franchise company FAT Brands received a bankruptcy court's approval to proceed with a wind-down plan after selling off its interests in chains like Fatburger, Johnny Rockets, Twin Peaks and Round Table Pizza. nL1N43T0UF

** French telecoms operator Orange ORAN.PA and infrastructure investor Morrison plan to create a data centre joint venture in France to expand capacity and meet rising demand for artificial intelligence and cloud services, the companies said. nL1N43T0SR

** Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena BMPS.MI and Banco BPM BAMI.MI advisers are exploring a merger that would mix cash and shares as a possible alternative to Intesa Sanpaolo's ISP.MI offer for Monte Paschi, Bloomberg News reported.

** Private equity firm Cinven and global investment group La Caisse have agreed to jointly acquire a majority stake in specialty MGA Optio from Preservation Capital Partners, the company said. nL6N43T0QS

** Expand Energy EXE.O said it would buy privately held natural gas marketer Twin Eagle Holdings from Five Point Infrastructure for $1.25 billion to expand its marketing business across North America.nL4N43T0SP

** The private equity arm of Goldman Sachs has agreed to acquire control of Italian medical equipment maker Numantec from White Bridge Investment, the companies said, betting on a business with steady revenues amid macroeconomic uncertainty.

** Irish energy distributor DCC Energy DCC.L agreed to a £5.75 billion ($7.68 billion) sale to a consortium of U.S. private equity firms KKR KKR.N and Energy Capital Partners, in yet another foreign takeover of a UK-listed company this year. nL4N43T0DC
