TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES
Severn Trent Plc ("Severn Trent") announces today that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 97 17/19 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") on the London Stock Exchange from Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC. Such purchase was effected pursuant to irrevocable instructions issued by Severn Trent to Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC on 13 February 2015, as announced on the same day:

Date of purchase: 16 March 2015
Number of Ordinary Shares purchased: 29,825
Price per Ordinary Share: 19.5670

Severn Trent intends to cancel the purchased Ordinary Shares.
Following the above transaction, Severn Trent holds none of its Ordinary Shares in treasury and has 238,966,633 Ordinary Shares in issue.
