TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES
Severn Trent Plc ("Severn Trent") announces today that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 97 17/19 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") on the London Stock Exchange from Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC. Such purchase was effected pursuant to irrevocable instructions issued by Severn Trent to Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC on 13 February 2015, as announced on the same day:
Ordinary Shares
Date of purchase: 8 April 2015
Number of Ordinary Shares purchased:  24,466
Price per Ordinary Share: 21.3820

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares.
Following the above transaction, Severn Trent holds a total of 48,900 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 238,588,755 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
