TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES 
 
Severn Trent Plc ("Severn Trent") announces today that it has purchased the
following number of its ordinary shares of 97 17/19 pence each ("Ordinary
Shares") on the London Stock Exchange from Morgan Stanley & Co. International
PLC. Such purchase was effected pursuant to irrevocable instructions issued by
Severn Trent to Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC on 13 February 2015, as
announced on the same day: 
 
Ordinary Shares 
 
Date of purchase:                                          30 September 2015 
 
Number of Ordinary Shares purchased:    10,624 
 
Price per Ordinary Share:                             21.8203 
 
The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. 
 
Following the above transaction, Severn Trent holds a total of 2,850,216 of
its ordinary shares in treasury and has 236,462,685 ordinary shares in issue
(excluding treasury shares).
