NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

 

Shaftesbury Capital PLC has received a notification of interests in the
Ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the Company as shown below.

 

The notified holding is calculated with reference to the total issued share
capital on the date the threshold was reached, being 1,953,170,495 Ordinary
shares. This includes 128,350,793 Ordinary shares held as security by a group
entity under the terms of the £275 million exchangeable bond and while held
by a group entity will not vote. Excluding such shares, the total number of
shares currently in issue is 1,824,819,702.
