Shanghai Conant Optical hits new high on Hang Seng Composite Index inclusion

** Shares of Shanghai Conant Optical 2276.HK surge 6.7% to HK$50.1, their highest since debut in December 2021

** Stock on track for the biggest one-day pct gain since July 28

** The Chinese resin spectacle lenses maker says it will be included as a constituent of a total of 13 indices by Hang Seng Indexes Co Ltd, including the Hang Seng Composite Index and Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect Index, with effect from September 8

** Says the inclusion will help to broaden the company’s shareholder base and increase trading liquidity of its shares

** Hang Seng Commerce & Industry Index .HSNC rises 2.7%, benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI climbs 2.1%

** YTD, stock up 95.8%
