HK's Shangri-La climbs to 3-week high on strong H1, upbeat outlook

** Shares of Shangri-La Asia Ltd  0069.HK  rise 5.7 pct to
HK$12.16, the highest since Aug. 3, after it posts sharp growth
in H1 amid positive hotel performance and strong growth in
rental property income 
    ** The hotel operator says H1 profit jumps 148 pct with
sales up 19 pct. It declares a higher interim dividend of

    ** Co expects property sales to contribute positively to H2
results and expects improvements in overall operating
performance relative to 2017
    ** As of the previous close, the stock has fallen 35.17
percent so far this year
