Appointment of new Chief Executive Officer, appointment of Corporate Development Executive Officer and creation of Executive Committee

 

Shefa Gems (LSE: SEFA), a company focused on advanced exploration and development of multi-gemstone projects in Northern Israel, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Vered Toledo as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company with immediate effect. The following changes have also occurred with immediate effect: Mr Yosef (Yossi) Itzhak Taub has been appointed as Corporate Development Executive Director and the Board of Directors has created a new Executive Committee.

Vered has worked with the late Avi Taub on the development of the Company's exploration project in the Kishon Mid-Reach region, Northern Israel, since its very beginning some 21 years ago. Vered was previously Shefa Gems' Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Yosef is the son of the late Avi Taub and was appointed to the Board of Directors on 17 December 2019.

The Board of Directors has appointed an Executive Committee to deal with the day-to-day management of the Company's affairs. The initial members are Michael Rosenberg, OBE, (Chairman), James Campbell (Non-Executive Director), Vered Toledo (CEO), Yosef Itzhak Taub (Corporate Development Executive Director) and David Ben David (CFO).

Having been involved in the business from its inception, her wealth of experience will benefit the Company immensely. Yossi has also played an active part in the Development of the business working closely for many years alongside his father, the late Avi Taub"
