Wall Street indexes slipped on Wednesday as talks between the White House and
Republican representatives on raising the debt ceiling dragged on, stoking
worries about an unprecedented government default.  .N 
    
    At 11:32 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.69% at
32,829. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.73% at 4,115.25 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was down 0.82% at 12,456.918.
