Acquisition of Roofing Business 
 
SIG plc, a leading distributor of specialist building products in Europe,
today announces that it has acquired Sodimat SAS, a specialist distributor of
flat roofing products in France, based in Lyon, for E4.4m in cash. 
 
For the financial year ended 31 December 2013 Sodimat SAS made a profit before
tax of E0.55m.  Gross assets were E1.4m as at 31 December 2013. 
 
This infill acquisition is in line with the Group's strategy of expanding its
French roofing business, Lariviere, in the South of France, and strengthening
its offering in flat roofing, which SIG believes to be an attractive segment
of the market. 
 
Sodimat SAS is being sold by the Sitbon family, who founded the business.
