Kath has more than 30 years' Human Resources experience, with a strong operational and strategic track record, gained at a number of large global industrial and pharmaceutical companies.  As well as working at GlaxoSmithKline plc and AstraZeneca plc she served as the Group Human Resources Director at Rolls-Royce plc and Ferguson plc and until 2019 was Chief HR Officer at CRH plc.

Andrew Allner, Chairman, commented, "We are delighted that Kath will be joining SIG's Board.  She is an experienced Chair of Remuneration and has significant international and industry knowledge gained from her roles at Ferguson and CRH.  Kath also has extensive experience of working in businesses undergoing transformation which will be invaluable as we seek to restructure our UK operations.

"On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Kate for her dedication and commitment during an unprecedented year.  Her contribution has enabled the Company to introduce a new Remuneration Policy which supports the refocused Company strategy and incentivises the creation of long-term shareholder returns.  We wish her all the best for the future."
