Directorate Changes
Appointment of Non-Executive Chairman
SIG plc ("the Company") announces that it has appointed Andrew Allner as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman with effect from 1 November 2017. 
This follows the announcement on 29 March 2017 that Leslie Van de Walle had informed the Board of his intention to step down as Chairman and retire as a Director of the Company once a successor had been identified and the new Group Chief Executive Officer, Meinie Oldersma, was established in role. Leslie will step down as Chairman and retire as a Director on 31 October 2017.
Commenting, Leslie Van de Walle said:
"I would like to welcome Andrew to SIG. He brings with him a wealth of both listed company and building products sector experience to lead the Board through the next stage of the Company's development and I know that I am leaving SIG in very good hands."
Meinie Oldersma, Group CEO said:
"On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Leslie for his service over the last seven years. He has shown strong leadership and made a valuable contribution to the Group. We extend him every good wish for the future.

Andrew Allner biography
Andrew Allner is currently Chairman of Marshalls plc, The Go-Ahead Group plc and Fox Marble Holdings plc, and a Non-Executive Director at Northgate plc. 
Marshalls plc has today announced that it will now start the process to recruit a successor to Andrew and that he will resign from the Marshall's Board, once the new Chairman is established in position. 
Andrew has significant current listed company Board experience as Chairman and as a Non-Executive Director. He was previously Non-Executive Director of AZ Electronic Materials SA (until 2014) and CSR plc (until 2013). Previous executive roles include Group Finance Director of RHM plc, taking a lead role in its flotation in July 2005 on the London Stock Exchange, and CEO of Enodis plc. He also held Senior Executive positions with Dalgety plc, Amersham International plc and Guinness plc. Andrew is a Chartered Accountant, former partner of Price Waterhouse and graduate of the University of Oxford.
There are no further details required to be disclosed under LR9.6.13R of the Listing Rules in respect of Andrew Allner.
