SIGA rises after enrollment begins for monkeypox drug trial

** Shares of SIGA Technologies Inc  SIGA.O  up 6.2% at
$14.33 
    ** National Institutes of Health says it has started
enrolling patients with monkeypox in a late-stage trial to test
SIGA's antiviral pill, Tpoxx  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nL4N30G2SX 
    ** Trial to enroll more than 500 patients, including both
adults and children, to test the drug against monkeypox 
    ** Oral and intravenous formulations of Tpoxx are already
approved by U.S. FDA for treating smallpox
    ** Including session gains, SIGA shares have nearly doubled
this year
