Wall Street was set for a higher open on Thursday as retail sales data for July
indicated resilient consumer spending, allaying fears of an imminent recession
in the world's biggest economy.  .N 
    
    At 9:30 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were up 1.32% at 40,650. S&P 500 e-minis
 ESc1  were up 1.10% at 5,537.5, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were up 1.29%
at 19,361.
