** Shares of Silex Systems  SLX.AX  rise as much as 13.6% to
A$4.60, their highest since Feb. 22, 2023 
    ** Stock posts its biggest intraday percentage gain since
May 10
    ** Uranium enrichment technology co says the U.S. Department
of Energy has released a request for proposal for acquisition of
High Assay Low Enriched Uranium (HALEU)
    ** Says U.S.-based Global Laser Enrichment, exclusive
licensee for co's technology, has potential to supply new U.S.
capacity to produce HALEU
    ** Nearly 1.3 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of about 555,000
    ** Stock rose 35.9% last year
