The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq fell in choppy trading on Thursday, as megacap stocks
remained under pressure, while investors kept tabs on the raging quarterly
earnings season and a mixed bag of data. .N 
    
    At 11:38 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.29% at
32,940.16. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.68% at 4,158.29 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 1.28% at 12,657.709.
