** Shares of White Rock Metals Ltd  WRM.AX  rise as much as
7.1% to A0.076, set to mark their best day since Aug 25, if
gains hold
    ** Mineral explorer and diversified miner Thomson Resources
Ltd  TMZ.AX  identifies base metal mineralisation on the margins
of the gold optimised pit shells being mined at Mt Carrington,
South-East Australia 
    ** Thomson says new base metal discovery will help in both
companies' diversification from previous gold-first development
strategy to large-scale gold-silver polymetallic opportunity at
Mt Carrington
    ** White Rock stock down 70.4% this year, as of last close
    ** Shares of Thomson Resources drop as much as 4.8% to hit
an over two-month low amid broader market weakness
