Sonatrach signs contract for unit with Sinopec subsidiary to boost gasoline production capacity
CAIRO, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Algeria's state-owned energy company Sonatrach signed on Monday a contract with Chinese company Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering to build a hydrotreating and reforming unit to treat heavy naphtha at its Arzew refinery. In a statement, Sonatrach said the new unit will help boost the refinery's gasoline production capacity from 550,000 tons to 1.2 million tons annually.
