Moves: Sixth Street hires ex-CS banker Hsu to structured products division

By Shankar Ramakrishnan
Feb 14 (Reuters) - Global investment company Sixth
Street TSLX.K is hiring former Credit Suisse CS.N banker
Linda Hsu as chief operating officer (COO) of its structured
products division, two sources familiar with the matter said.
Credit Suisse and Sixth Street declined comment.
Hsu will report to Michael Dryden, partner and head of the
company’s division. She will be based in New York and is
expected to join Sixth Street in April, the sources said on
condition of anonymity.
Sixth Street set up its structured products division in
March last year to focus on asset/platform investing and
origination across finance markets.
They include commercial and residential mortgages,
renewables and energy finance, consumer asset classes,
infrastructure debt, transportation, and commercial equipment.
It partners with Talcott Financial Group, which manages $130
billion in assets.
Hsu has nearly 17 years of financial markets experience and
was last the managing director and global COO of Credit Suisse’s
securitized products division.
A majority of the assets in Credit Suisse’s securitized
products group was sold in November to Apollo Management as part
of a revamp of the Swiss bank.
Apollo has set up a credit unit called Atlas SP Partners
that will comprise those assets and will focus on asset-backed
financing and capital markets solutions under the leadership of
Credit Suisse's Jay Kim. Apollo owns the majority of the unit.
