SK Hynix to review shareholder protection measures after reports of Solidigm's US IPO
SK Hynix to review shareholder protection measures after reports of Solidigm's US IPO SEOUL, Oct 1 (Reuters) - SK Hynix 000660.KS said on Thursday it will evaluate measures to protect its shareholders in response to market concerns about a potential listing of the South Korean chipmaker's US subsidiary, Solidigm.
Reuters reported last month that SK Hynix's Solidigm is considering an initial public offering as early as next year that could value the US subsidiary at up to $150 billion, citing people familiar with the matter.
SK Hynix on Thursday reiterated it is "reviewing various measures to strengthen its competitiveness," adding nothing has been decided. It said it will "carefully review potential impacts on existing shareholders, evaluate necessary protection measures."
