Spain's Ignis targets October IPO to raise up to €600 million, report says Sept 7 (Reuters) - Spanish renewable energy company Ignis has submitted an updated prospectus to Spain's market regulator CNMV for an initial public offering seeking to raise up to €600 million ($697 million), Spanish newspaper Expansion reported on Monday, citing unnamed market sources.
If completed, the listing would follow other market debuts in Spain this year. TSK TSK.MC listed in May, Digi DIGIS.MC in July and Blackstone-owned hotel group HIP is aiming for a Madrid listing in the second half of October.
Ignis expects CNMV approval in the first half of October and aims to begin trading in the second half of that month, the report said.
It plans to use the proceeds to expand its energy management and data centre connection businesses.
Valued at around €1.5 billion, Ignis is controlled by its founder, Antonio Sieira.
The other major shareholder is Vortex Energy, an investment platform managed by EFG Hermes, a subsidiary of Egyptian financial services group EFG Holding HRHO.CA.
Ignis owns 1,000 MW of operating and under-construction generation capacity, manages 10,000 MW of its own and third-party assets, and has a hydrogen joint venture with U.S. investment firm KKR KKR.N.
