SoftwareOne shares rise after report it explores merger with Crayon

**  Shares in SoftwareOne  SWON.S  are up around 3% in
pre-market trade after Bloomberg reported the Swiss technology
firm is exploring a potential merger with Norwegian competitor
Crayon Group Holding  CRAYN.OL  
    ** Apax Partners, a leading bidder for SoftwareOne, is in
discussions to take both the Swiss and the Norwegian firm
private and combine the businesses, as per the report
        ** SoftwareOne and Apax declined to comment on the
report
  
        ** SoftwareOne, which has attracted renewed takeover
interest, 
    said
     in August it was examining "several" approaches to take the
company private
  
    ** Shares in SoftwareOne are down almost 6% since January
