European chip stocks gripped by wider tech pullback

** European semiconductor and chip stocks fall on Wednesday, getting swept up in the tech stocks selloff in the U.S. and Asia on fears over stretched valuations

** STOXX Europe technology index .SX8P is down 0.9%, falling the most among other indices on the wider STOXX 600 .STOXX

** "Halloween may be over, but markets are feeling spooked over AI stock valuations fears," Emma Wall, Chief Investment Strategist at Hargreaves Lansdown says

** A drop in U.S. chipmaker AMD AMD.O shares also weighs

** ASML ASML.AS, ASMI ASMI.AS, BESI.AS, Siltronic WAFGn.DE , X-Fab XFAB.PA slide between around 2% and 3%

** Melexis MLXS.BR and Soitec SOIT.PA are both down around 1%
