EUROPE SPARKS TO LIFE AFTER NVIDIA RESULTS

Risk appetite in Europe has been restored on Thursday after results from AI-titan Nvidia reassured investors that had started to worry about frothy valuations in the tech space.

Shares in Nvidia rose over 6% after hours after sales growth accelerated in the last quarter, while it also raised its sales forecast for the current quarter.

"Nvidia's results have completely changed the market mood and pushed out any bubble fears for another day," writes Deutsche Bank strategist Jim Reid.

That has supported markets worldwide and given a lift to companies in the AI supply chain.

    The pan-European STOXX 600 .STOXX is up 1.1%, while an index of Asia-Pacific stocks ex-Japan ..MIAPJ0000PUS climbed 1.1%. Japan's Nikkei 225 .N225 rose 2.7%.

    S&P EScv1 and Nasdaq NQcv1 futures are up 1.4% and 1.8% respectively.

Shares in Games Workshop GAW.L are leading the way higher in Europe after what Jefferies described as "another blockbuster" first half of the year. Shares are up over 10%.

France's Soitec SOIT.PA, which supplies materials for semiconductors, is down almost 20% after it provided a soft outlook for the third quarter.
