April 28 (Reuters) - The following Spanish stocks may be affected by newspaper reports and other factors on Monday. Reuters has not verified the newspaper reports, and cannot vouch for their accuracy: UNICAJA UNI.MC Unicaja's first-quarter net profit rose 43% compared to the same period in 2024 as a reduced impact from the renewed banking tax offset a drop in lending income from lower interest rates, the company said on Monday. MELIA HOTELS MEL.MC Melia and its main unlisted rivals Barcelo, RIU and Iberostar expect bookings at their Spanish hotels this summer to increase more than 10% compared to last year, newspaper Cinco Dias said on Saturday, citing company sources. TELEFONICA TEF.MC Telefonica's sale of its Argentinian unit will have an impact of 1.1 billion euros on its first-quarter results, newspaper Expansion said, citing a company filing to the stock market regulator. LINEA DIRECTA LDA.MC Spanish insurer Linea Directa's first-quarter net profit came in at 20.8 million euros, the company said on Monday. NYESA IBES.MC Nyesa said on Friday it would propose a share capital increase of 6.3 million euros by offsetting claims and without pre-emptive subscription rights. SOLARIA SLRS.MC Solaria said on Monday it had closed the purchase of 260 megawatt-hour for battery energy storage systems for about 20 million euros.
