Soligenix rises on success of mid-stage trial for skin disease treatment

** Shares of therapy developer Soligenix SNGX.O rise 1.4%
to 93 cents premarket
** Co says it achieved clinical success in the expanded
portion of its mid-stage trial evaluating its therapy SGX302 for
treatment of psoriasis
** Says the expanded portion tested a second set of
patients who showed an average reduction of 50% in severity of
disease with the treatment
** Psoriasis is a skin condition in which the immune system
becomes overactive, causing skin cells to multiply too quickly
** Stock fell 88.8% in 2023
