Solvay seen down after FY guidance cut
BUZZ-Solvay seen down after FY guidance cut ** Shares in Solvay SOLB.BR are seen down 5% after the Belgian chemical company cut its 2026 forecast as the Middle East conflict and a plant shutdown in Saudi Arabia impacted its Q3 earnings
** The company now sees full-year EBITDA at €720-€740 million ($809-$831 million), slightly below company-compiled consensus of €775 million, free cash flow at €120-150 million
** Solvay previously forecast 2026 underlying EBITDA at €770-850 million and free cash flow of at least €200 million
** It said the Middle East conflict reduced quarterly underlying EBITDA by about €25 million, including nearly €15 million linked to the shutdown of the peroxide plant at the Sadara complex in Saudi Arabia
** Jefferies expects share price pressure "due to the magnitude of the guidance downgrade"
