Italy's Generali has no plans to grow in UK insurance sector - source

MILAN, July 8 (Reuters) - Italy's Generali GASI.MI has
no plans to grow in Britain's insurance sector, being interested
only in European countries where it already operates and
emerging markets, a source close to the situation said on
Monday.
Insurance Insider reported on Monday that Japanese insurer
Sompo 8630.T and Generali were circling British insurer Hiscox
HSX.L , one of Lloyd's insurance syndicates, sending shares in
the company up 11.5%.
