Gores Metropoulos II: Up marginally on $2.2 bln deal with Sonder

** Shares of blank-check firm Gores Metropoulos II Inc
 GMII.O  up 1% at $10.03 in early trading
    ** Co, which is a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC)
backed by billionaire investors Alec Gores and Dean Metropoulos,
to take lodging startup Sonder public in $2.2 bln deal

have also agreed to invest in the deal, Sonder said
    ** Combined entity to get cash proceeds of $650 mln, the

public last year through another SPAC, backed by the billionaire
