** Springer Nature SPGG.DE rises over 7% after the academic textbook publisher reported strong Q1 results driven by its Journals portfolio

** Research publishing grew by 7.2%, above consensus expectations of 6%, as particularly fully open access journal articles performed well, JP Morgan notes

** Springer gained market share in Q1, JP Morgan adds, as the company estimates that its articles published grew 15% versus 6% for the broader market

** A local trader says FCF came in at a strong-looking 204 million euros

** Education grew by 3%, ahead of consensus expectations of 2%, after a positive start to the year in the Southern Hemisphere, JPM says

** Including today's rise, Springer Nature has gained over 14% YTD
