** Shares of SRM Contractors Ltd  SRMC.NS  rise as much as
8.7% to 226.77 rupees
    ** Construction co says, National Highway Authority of India
(NHAI) allotted new project for 2.78 bln rupees ($33.3 mln)
    ** Stock on track to gain for third straight session
    ** More than 661,000 shares traded as of 11:50 a.m. IST,
5.3x their 30-day moving avg
    ** SRMC last up 4.4%; down ~3.7% since listing in April
