POLITICS
European Economy Commissioner Paolo Gentiloni is confident
that Italy will get the latest instalment of post-pandemic funds
despite questions over the meeting of targets to unlock the
money, he said on Saturday.
OpenAI has taken ChatGPT offline in Italy after the
government's Data Protection Authority on Friday temporarily
banned the chatbot and launched a probe over the artificial
intelligence application's suspected breach of privacy rules.
Italy's Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini on Sunday
criticised the ban, saying the block over privacy concerns
seemed excessive.
ECONOMY
The outlook for the Italian economy is improving but higher
interest rates designed to curb inflation could pose a threat to
growth, Italy's economy minister said on Saturday, sending a
warning to the European Central Bank.

TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI
Asked whether offers for TIM's landline network were being
delayed, Italy's economy minister said on Saturday that bids
would be submitted around mid-April, as previously decided by
the telecoms group board.
Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti added that the two suitors,
U.S. fund KKR KKR.N and a consortium formed by Italian state
lender CDP and Macquarie MQG.AX , had been asked to improve
their bids.
STELLANTIS STLAM.MI
Stellantis said on Friday its Portugal plant would become
the first assembly plant in the country to produce large series
fully battery electric compact vans by 2025.
UNICREDIT CRDI.MI
Bank's shareholders on Friday backed a new pay policy for
the group which would boost CEO Andrea Orcel's compensation
package by 30% to 9.75 million euros if he manages to beat
performance targets.
FERRARI RACE.MI
A crash on the first corner for Charles Leclerc and a late
penalty for Carlos Sainz at the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday
capped off a dismal weekend for Ferrari, with the Italian team
well adrift of leaders Red Bull.

Juventus needed a second-half goal by striker Moise Kean to
seal a 1-0 home win over Hellas Verona on Saturday, while goals
from Pedro and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic earned Lazio a 2-0 win at
Monza on Sunday.
Investment fund Oaktree OAK_pa.N has submitted a
preliminary non-binding offer to invest 1.75 billion euros
($1.90 billion) into the media business of Italy's Serie A
soccer league, people familiar with the matter said on Friday.
