    ISTAT releases October foreign trade data (0800 GMT).

    Banco BPM's investment bank Banca Akros and Italy's economy
ministry both denied on Monday any foul play in last month's
sale of a 15% stake in Monte dei Paschi (MPS), rejecting a
report by the Financial Times suggesting that UniCredit's
request to buy a 10% stake in MPS was ignored. 
        
  
        TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI 
  
    CVC Capital Partners  CVC.AS  is considering the purchase of
Vivendi's  VIV.PA  stake in Italy's biggest telecoms group, a
move that could pave the way for a potential takeover of the
Italian telecommunications company, Bloomberg News reported on
Monday.
    An Italian court has given the government and Telecom Italia
until Jan. 20 to discuss a potential accord over the phone
group's request it gets 1 billion euros ($1 billion) from the
state, a source with knowledge of the matter said.

    French President Emmanuel Macron highlighted the importance
of France for the Franco-Italian carmaker during a meeting at
the Elysee presidential palace on Monday with Stellantis
Chairman John Elkann.

    The Italian clothing retailer on Monday announced
double-digit growth in net sales for the third quarter, mainly
driven by womenswear, and confirmed its 2024 guidance on revenue
and EBITDA.
