    POLITICS
    European far-right parties met in Italy on Sunday vowing to
reshape the European Union after next year's European Parliament
elections, toughening the bloc's approach on immigration and
softening its climate policies to protect jobs and industry.
    The meeting was hosted by Italian Deputy Prime Minister
Matteo Salvini. 
    
    ECONOMY
    Italy posted a state sector budget deficit of 1.1 billion
euros in November compared to a shortfall of 1.5 billion euros
in the same month last year, the Treasury said on Friday.
    
    DEBT
    Credit ratings agency Scope on Friday maintained its stance
on Italy, citing the country's relevance in European blocs and
regional policy which would likely get the euro zone's
third-largest economy support from institutions if in distress.
    
    COMPANIES
    STELLANTIS  STLAM.MI 
    The next generation of the Fiat Panda city car will be
electric and will be produced in Serbia, Serbian President
Aleksandar Vucic said on Sunday during a visit to Belgrade by
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
    The group held 29.31% of Italy's car market in November,
according to Reuters calculations based on the Italian transport
ministry data. Industry-wide new car sales in Italy rose 16.19%
year-on-year last month, Italy's transport ministry said on
Friday.
    
    TERNA  TRN.MI , ENEL  ENEI.MI , SNAM  SRG.MI  
    The three state-controlled companies stand to receive more
than 1.8 billion euros from the European Union's REPowerEU green
energy transition fund, including 840 million euros for Terna,
more than 570 million euros for Enel and 420 million euros for
Snam, Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper said on Sunday.
    
    ENI  ENI.MI 
    The Italian energy group said on Saturday it had joined the
Oil&Gas Decarbonisation Accelerator, a platform launched by the
Presidency of the U.N.'s COP28 climate summit to demonstrate the
oil and gas companies' contribution to decarbonisation efforts.
    
    JUVENTUS  JUVE.MI 
    Juventus' Federico Gatti scored a stoppage-time winner in a
frantic finale to secure a 2-1 victory at Monza on Friday in
Serie A.
    
    LAZIO  LAZI.MI 
    Maurizio Sarri's side on Saturday edged lowly Cagliari 1-0
at home through an early goal by winger Pedro, before the
visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 27th minute.

    Rome, Industry Ministry holds meeting on the car gigafactory
in Termoli with representatives from trade unions, labour
ministry, Stellantis  STLAM.MI , ACC, Molise region (1300 GMT).
