POLITICS
Italy's cabinet on Monday approved a decree to keep military aid flowing to Ukraine through 2026, sealing a coalition compromise after weeks of debate that exposed divisions over foreign policy within Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's government.
ECONOMY
The Italian government late on Monday won a confidence vote over its 2026 budget in the Chamber of Deputies, ahead of a final approval of the package scheduled for Tuesday.
COMPANIES
WEBUILD WBD.MI
Webuild is part of a consortium that has won a contract worth approximately 660 million euros for work on part of the new Line 10 of the metro network of the southern city of Naples, the construction group said on Monday.

The engineering group said on Tuesday that its Integrated E&C Solutions business units have been granted additional work of previously announced orders and new awards for a total amount of about 700 million euros, in sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and in Italy.

The publishing company has agreed to buy a 58.84% stake in Edilportale.com, a company operating internationally in the development of content, services and platforms across the architecture, design and construction markets, for a price of 31.2 million euros, it said on Monday.

Italian asset manager Azimut said on Monday it had extended its binding agreement with private equity fund FSI to create fintech bank TNB, pushing the deadline to June 20, 2026.
SS LAZIO LAZI.MI
Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri has undergone a minor heart operation, the Serie A club said on Monday. Italian media reported that it was a routine intervention, and Lazio said the 66-year-old Sarri was expected to resume his regular duties in the coming days.

Italy's biggest mobile telecoms towers company is open to talks with telecom operator on the so-called Master Service Agreement (MSA) only if tied to new investments, but without renegotiating existing contracts, the group's Director General Diego Galli was quoted as saying by Il Sole 24 Ore on Tuesday.

The latest board meeting of the luxury group has given a mandate to look at acquisitions "aimed uniquely at developing businesses that do not exist internally", Il Messaggero daily reported on Tuesday, citing the minutes of the meeting.
