Italy - Factors to watch on Nov. 13

The following factors could affect Italian markets on Monday.

    POLITICS
    Italy will host the next G7 summit on June 13-15 in the
Borgo Egnazia resort in the southern Puglia region, Italian
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Friday.
    
    COMPANIES
    BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI (MPS)  BMPS.MI 
    Ratings agency Fitch said on Friday it had upgraded the
stock to "BB" from "B+" with stable outlook, to reflect "the
bank's successful restructuring" and "evidence that MPS has
regained customer confidence". 
    BPER cannot be an M&A partner for MPS, the chairman of
Unipol group Carlo Cimbri said in an interview with Il Sole 24
Ore on Saturday. Unipol is BPER's leading shareholder, with
around 20%. 
    
    TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI 
    Ratings agency Fitch placed TIM on rating watch positive
after the company's board last week approved a deal to sell its
domestic fixed-line grid to U.S. fund KKR  KKR.N .
    
    EDISON  EDNn.MI 
    BP  BP.L , Edison and Shell  SHEL.L  pressed a U.S.-EU
energy group to intervene in a dispute with liquefied natural
gas exporter Venture Global LNG over the U.S. firm's failure to
deliver contract supplies of the fuel.     
    
    MEDIOBANCA  MDBI.MI  
    The bank is launching on Monday a share buyback programme
worth up to 200 million euros for up to 17 million ordinary
shares, equal to about 2% of the company's share capital. 
    
    STELLANTIS  STLAM.MI  
    The automaker has emailed about 15,000 employees in Italy
asking them if they would be interested in leaving the company
with a generous severance pay package, Corriere della Sera daily
wrote on Saturday, adding that the offer is valid until Dec. 31.
    
    M&A, VODAFONE ITALIA
    British telecoms group Vodafone  VOD.L  is considering
selling its Italian business or joining it to a rival via a
partnership, Il Sole 24 Ore reported on Saturday, indicating
Swisscom  SCMN.S , which operates in Italy via its subsidiary
Fastweb, or Iliad, as the two candidates. 
    
    UNIPOL  UNPI.MI , UNIPOLSAI  US.MI  
    The Unipol group will respect its financial targets despite
the impact on claim expenses from natural disasters in Italy,
Chairman Carlo Cimbri said in an interview with Il Sole 24 Ore
on Saturday.
    
    BPER  EMII.MI , BANCA POPOLARE DI SONDRIO  BPSI.MI   
    There is no question of a merger between the two banks,
Unipol group Chairman Carlo Cimbri said in an interview with Il
Sole 24 Ore on Saturday. Unipol has stakes of around 20% in both
banks.
    
    JUVENTUS  JUVE.MI 
    Juventus defenders Gleison Bremer and Daniele Rugani scored
in the second half to secure a fifth consecutive victory for the
Turin side against lowly Cagliari on Saturday.  
    
    LAZIO  LAZI.MI 
    Lazio and AS Roma played out a 0-0 draw in Serie A on Sunday
as both sides missed opportunities in a fiery derby clash that
produced a flurry of yellow cards at the Stadio Olimpico.
    
    BANCA GENERALI  BGN.MI 
    Board meeting on Q3 results.
    
    BF  BFG.MI 
    Starts capital increase; ends on Nov. 30.
    
    GROWENS  GROWE.MI 
    Starts voluntary partial takeover bid on own shares; ends on
Dec. 6, unless extended.
    
    LU-VE  LUVE.MI 
    Board meeting on Q3 results (preliminary Q3 results released
on Oct. 10).
    
    SECO  IOT.MI 
    Board meeting on Q3 results.
    
    DIARY
    Rome, UNESCO Convention "Living Heritage, Civil Society and
Sustainable Development" starts (1400 GMT); ends on Nov. 14. On
Monday expected attendees include Chamber of Deputies Deputy
Speaker Sergio Costa, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
    Rome, Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi attends
presentation of police's 2024 calendar (1700 GMT).
    Rome, Banca Mediolanum  BMED.MI  CEO Massimo Doris gives
speech at la Sapienza University Economy department (1500 GMT).
    Milan, "The global event for the finance community",
expected attendees include Economy Undersecretary Federico Freni
(0850 GMT); SACE CEO Alessandra Ricci (0900 GMT), Telecom Italia
