Ofgem has today formally decided to impose a £9.78 million financial penalty
on SSE Generation Ltd for breaching its Generation Licence.

 

The penalty will be paid to Ofgem's voluntary redress fund no later than
Tuesday, September 5, after the regulator found that SSE had secured excessive
payments from the Electricity System Operator ("ESO") during periods of what
is known as 'transmission constraint.'
