FINAL DIVIDEND FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2015 
SCRIP ALTERNATIVE
SSE plc announces that a total of 28,854 shareholders have elected to receive the final dividend for the year ended 31 March 2015 of 61.8 pence per ordinary share in respect of 258,135,630 ordinary shares in the form of Scrip dividend. This will result in a reduction in final dividend cash funding of 159,527,819. 
A total of 10,600,639 new ordinary shares, fully paid, will be issued on 18 September 2015, representing an increase of 1.07% on the issued share capital on dividend record date of 24 July 2015. The relevant Scrip Reference Share Price was 1,505 pence per ordinary share.
