expects
to book $4 billion to $5 billion in impairments in the fourth quarter.
* HAYS: Hays HAYS.L
posted
a slightly bigger-than-expected drop in second-quarter net fees, driven by weak hiring activity in Germany.
* VISTRY: Vistry VTYV.L
flagged
a dip in forward sales position at the start of 2026, after reporting fewer annual home completions.
* PEARSON: Pearson PSON.L reported a jump in sales growth in the final quarter of the year, and said it expected its 2025 operating profit to rise by about 6%.

* RAILWAY: Britain committed to a new rail infrastructure programme worth up to 45 billion pounds for the north of England.
* COMMODITIES: Oil slipped, copper prices rose to a new high, and gold climbed.
