Australia's St Barbara falls on lower quarterly gold production

** Shares of Australian gold miner St Barbara  SBM.AX  fall
as much as 9% to A$0.178, their lowest level since Oct. 9
    ** Co posts Sept-qtr gold production of 10,379 ounces from
its Simberi operations in Papua New Guinea, down ~43% from last
year
    ** Says Simberi production was lower than recent quarters
due to lower grade and lower recovery because of higher
sulphur-to-gold ratios in ore feed mix
        ** Co anticipates mined grade and sulphur-to-gold ratio
to improve for remainder of FY24
    ** Posts Sept-qtr gold production of 6,480 ounces from
Atlantic operations in Canada, down ~44% from last year
    ** Stock down 42.2% this year, as of last close
