India's Star Housing hits record high on share split, bonus issue

** Shares of housing finance co Star Housing Finance Ltd
 STAO.BO  rise as much as 9.1% to a record high of 214 rupees
    ** STAO on Monday approved sub-division of shares in 1:2
ratio 
    ** Co also approved bonus issue of shares in 1:1 ratio
    ** Sept.-qtr profit jumped nearly three-fold; loan book has
now crossed 1.50 billion Indian rupees ($18.28 million) 
    ** More than 150,000 shares change hands by 0444 GMT vs
30-day avg of 142,626 shares
    ** Stock up 127.3% YTD, up to last close
($1 = 82.1010 Indian rupees)
