** Shares of Star Plus Legend Holding 6683.HK soar as much as 36.7% to HK$15.36, their highest since July 14

** Stock on track for the biggest one-day pct gain since July 9

** The intellectual property (IP) creation and operation group, with current market capitalisation of $1.55 bln, said its unit has teamed up Chinese robotics firm Hangzhou Yushu Technology on development and commercialization of quadruped robot dogs

** Co says the robots will have companionship functions and social interaction features

** Hang Seng Tech Index .HSTECH falls 1.4%, benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI slips 0.4%

** YTD, stock up 188.2%
