India's SAIL rises on report government permits critical equipment imports from China

** Shares of Steel Authority of India SAIL.NS rise 3.6% after a Reuters report that India has authorised some state firms, including SAIL, to procure critical equipment from China,  on Friday

** Under the relaxation of the rules, India's largest state-run power equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals can procure 21 types of critical equipment from China

** A similar authorisation has been given to SAIL for certain critical components - government source

** Bharat Heavy Electricals BHEL.NS down 0.9%

** Analysts have "hold" rating on BHEL and SAIL on avg - data compiled by LSEG

** YTD, SAIL up 3% while BHEL down 12%
