Four migrants working as fruit pickers in slave-like conditions in southern Italy have been burned to death in a grisly murder case that is prompting fresh national soul-searching over labour exploitation.

(*) Italy's state investor CDP Equity has a 27.638% aggregate holding in Europe's biggest payments group as of May 25, a filing by Italian market regulator Consob showed on Wednesday. The stake comprises 19.638% of voting rights and derivative contracts covering a further 8%, the filing showed.

Commerzbank CBKG.DE is in close contact with the German regulator BaFin over UniCredit's recent disclosure over shares the Italian lender has said it has acquired, according to a notice to staff seen by Reuters.

STELLANTIS STLAM.MI
Fiat will start sales of its Grizzly mid-sized SUV and Grizzly Fastback model in the second half of this year in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with plans to expand to other regions, the Stellantis-owned brand said on Wednesday.

BPER BANCA EMII.MI
The Italian lender said on Wednesday that Morningstar DBRS had raised its Long-Term Issuer Rating Trend to 'Positive' from 'Stable' and affirmed the Long-Term Issuer Rating at "BBB (high)".

The lender said on Thursday it decided to exercise its option to redeem all of the outstanding Tier 2 Notes, issued on 29 June 2021 with a 10 year maturity for €300 million.

U.S. short seller Grizzly Research said on Thursday it took a short position on the tyremaker. In a report, Grizzly said it was concerned that Pirelli's relationship with the Russian state may pose security risks for the West.

The engineering group said on Thursday its subsidiary Tecnimont has been granted additional works related to a previously awarded large-scale onshore project for a value of some $900 million. The additional works are aimed at supporting the optimization of existing oil & gas facilities, it added in a statement.
