India's Sterlite Tech rises on partnership with Windstream

** Shares of data solutions firm Sterlite Technologies Ltd
 STTE.NS  rise as much as 3.9% to 153.95 rupees
    ** Co said on Tuesday it is partnering with U.S.-based
software firm Windstream to support their fiber expansion
projects
    ** "STTE and Windstream are well-positioned to take
advantage of market opportunities such as the $42 bln Broadband
Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program," says Jeff Small,
president of Windstream unit Kinetic 
    ** Trading volume at ~1.3 mln shares, 1.8x the 30-day avg of
~740,100 shares, as of 10:15 a.m. IST 
    ** Stock last down ~13% YTD
