U.S. stock index futures fell on Tuesday after Walmart's profit warning rippled
through the retail sector and heightened fears that consumers were cutting back
on discretionary spending in the face of decades-high inflation.  .N 
    
    At 7:50 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were down 0.37% at 31,850. S&P 500 e-minis
 ESc1  were down 0.33% at 3,956.75, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were down
0.44% at 12,300.75.
