India's Strides Pharma rises on USFDA nod for Gabapentin tablets

** Shares of Strides Pharma Science  SRID.NS  up 2.3% 
    ** Stock roses as much as 4.8% to day's high of 834.6 rupees
    ** Pharmaceutical co's unit received U.S. FDA approval for
Gabapentin Tablets USP, 600 mg and 800 mg
    ** It is a commonly used medication for the treatment of
neuropathic pain caused by diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic
neuralgia, and central pain
    ** The product is bioequivalent to the reference-listed drug
Neurontin Tablets, 600 mg and 800 mg, from Viatris Specialty
LLC, co added
    ** The drug will be manufactured at Strides' Puducherry
facility
    ** Stock is up 25.4% so far this year; after rising 85.6% in
2023
