Australia's Strike Energy gains on contract win

** Shares of Strike Energy  STX.AX  rise as much as 7.5% to
A$0.215, their highest level since July 17
    ** Natural gas explorer says it entered into a A$48.5 mln
($31.66 mln) contract with Clarke Energy 
    ** Adds, contract to procure 20 4.5 MW Jenbacher gas
reciprocating engines and commissioning services for its
proposed South Erregulla peaking gas power plant
    ** Stock has fallen 58.3% this year, as of last close
