April 15 (Reuters) - Suedzucker SZUG.DE expects a
significant decline in earnings in the first quarter of the
2024/25 financial year, Europe's largest sugar producer said on
Monday, citing higher sugar production costs.
The company reported an 18% increase in earnings before
interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization to 1.3 billion
euros ($1.38 billion), according to preliminary figures for the
past financial year 2023/24. It expects EBITDA to be in a range
of 900 million-1 billion euros in the current year.
