Quikrete is in talks to acquire Summit Materials, sources say

       NEW YORK, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Building materials provider
Quikrete is in early-stage talks to acquire rival Summit
Materials  SUM.N , people familiar with the matter said on
Thursday. 
    Quikrete and Summit Materials did not immediately respond to
requests for comment. 
    Bloomberg reported on the talks earlier on Thursday.
